  • Parking Registration: Special Commencement parking hangtags are required to park on campus on Sunday, May 13.  Students are required to register early for up to two free parking hangtags for themselves and their guests. Students must register from March 19 at 10 a.m. to April 16 at 10 a.m. See our Parking Guidelines page for details.
  • Academic Regalia: It doesn't matter what you wear underneath, but a cap and gown are required to participate in activities on the field. Don't forget to pick up any honor society or other recognition cords and stoles; after all, you've earned them. Regalia will be available for purchase beginning April 1. Additional information will be available soon.
  • Inviting Family and Friends: You can invite as many guests as you'd like; tickets are not required for Commencement at the stadium. Check with your school on how to receive printed announcements or check back in March to download PDF announcements.
  • Indoor Stadium Seating: Commencement is held rain or shine and umbrellas may not be brought into the stadium. A limited number of tickets for indoor stadium seating at the Audi Rutgers Club will be available for purchase this spring. Please check back.
  • Stadium Bag Policy: Bags or purses larger than 4½ by 6½ inches will not be permitted in the stadium. You may carry items in a clear plastic bag up to one gallon in size. Cameras and binoculars (without their bags) and seat cushions may be carried in on their own. Umbrellas are not permitted. Please bring or wear ponchos in the event of rain.  To see the full list of prohibited items and details, visit the Rutgers Athletics Bag Policy page.
  • Student Arrival and Marshaling at the Stadium: Stadium gates will open at 8 a.m. on May 13. All graduating students must arrive by 9 a.m., and go to the marshaling area at the south end of the stadium (sub-level below the large video screen) to line-up with your school for the processional onto the field. Please arrive earlier if you plan to take photos with the professional photography service. The processional will begin promptly at 10 a.m.
