Commencement and Convocations

Plan for a special Mother’s Day this year—by joining us for the 246th Anniversary Commencement on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. Family, friends, and your classmates from across the entire Rutgers community will be there to celebrate with you at High Point Solutions Stadium on the Rutgers–New Brunswick Campus. You may invite as many guests as you like and tickets are not required. Don’t miss it.

Remember, graduation is made up of two great events: the big celebration at the stadium and a smaller convocation where you’ll join with your graduating class and receive individual recognition. Convocations will be held in the days surrounding University Commencement.

School Convocations

Schools hold convocations with their own distinctive traditions including special speakers, ceremonies, and student citations. Check with your individual school’s dean’s office for details.

Parking and Getting Around on May 13

Plan Ahead
- Review our Maps and Directions pages to identify event locations, parking, and shuttle locations.
- Don't forget to bring your Commencement parking hangtag, which is required to park on campus on May 13.
Carpool/Use Public Transportation
- Minimize travel time and stress by carpooling. Even better, take public transportation to the New Brunswick Train Station and use our shuttles to get to your events.
Arrive Early
- Arrive two hours before your ceremony start time to park and take our shuttles.
- You may enter High Point Solutions Stadium as early as 10:30 a.m.
