Plan for a special day by joining us for the 249th Anniversary Commencement on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. in High Point Solutions Stadium at Rutgers University–New Brunswick on the Busch Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Be sure to enjoy the festivities with your family, friends, and fellow students from Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences.
Rutgers is proud to welcome William Sanford Nye, "The Science Guy" and CEO of the Planetary Society, as this year’s Rutgers University Commencement Speaker and will award him with an honorary doctor of science degree. We will also award an honorary doctor of humane letters degree to Frances Fox Piven, well-known scholar and advocate for poor and working people.
Remember, graduation is made up of two great events: the big celebration at the stadium, where you'll see your name scroll on the stadium ribbon board and enjoy special videos such as graduate shout-outs to family and friends, photo montages, and more. With thousands of guests saluting the culmination of your achievement, it will be a day you will never forget. You may invite as many guests as you like and tickets are not required. Don’t miss it.
Your other must-attend ceremony is a smaller convocation where you’ll join with your graduating class and receive individual recognition. Convocations will be held in the days surrounding Rutgers University Commencement.
Schools hold convocations with their own distinctive traditions including special speakers, ceremonies, and student citations. The date and location of your school's convocation will be posted soon, visit:
Students graduating from the schools affiliated with Rutgers University–Newark and Rutgers University–Camden will celebrate Commencement at their respective universities.
