A group of Rutgers Graduates

Rutgers University Commencement

Plan for a special day by joining us for the 252nd Anniversary Commencement on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at High Point Solutions Stadium at Rutgers–New Brunswick on the Busch Campus. This year's event is particularly special with the event falling on Mother's Day.

Be sure to enjoy the festivities with your family, friends, and fellow students from Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences

Remember, graduation is made up of two great events: the big celebration at the stadium, where you'll see your name scroll on the stadium ribbon board and enjoy special videos such as graduate shout-outs to family and friends, photo montages, and more. With thousands of guests saluting the culmination of your achievement, it will be a day you will never forget. You may invite as many guests as you like and tickets are not required for University Commencement in High Point Solutions Stadium. Don’t miss it.

Commencement Parking Hangtag Registration

In March 2018, students must register online here for required Commencement Parking Hangtags for themselves and their guests. Note that parking permits issued by Rutgers Department of Transportation Services for use during the year will not be valid for parking on campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick on Sunday, May 13. Please check back throughout the year.

School Convocations

Your other must-attend ceremony is a smaller convocation where you’ll join with your graduating class and receive individual recognition. Convocations will be held in the days surrounding Rutgers University Commencement. Some convocations require tickets. Details will be available soon for all ceremonies. Schools hold convocations with their own distinctive traditions including special speakers, ceremonies, and student citations. Check with your individual school's dean's office for details and check back here for convocation listings.

Ceremonies in Newark and Camden

Students graduating from the schools affiliated with Rutgers University–Newark and Rutgers University–Camden will celebrate Commencement at their respective locations. Details will be available soon.
