2011 University Commencement
The 245th Anniversary Commencement was the largest in Rutgers’ history, with the most number of graduates and the largest commencement crowd. About 28,000 people attended, including graduates, friends, relatives, and faculty and staff.
Highlights of the day included greetings from President Richard L. McCormick, rousing performances by the Rutgers University Glee Club, and a powerful address by commencement speaker and Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison.
